THC RSL Sub Branch Activities
Ipswich Railway Museum - Bus Trip - Monday 9 August
A full day trip to Ipswich railway Museum is being planned - it will include tours of the facility and lunch. Tickets $20 each - SELLING FAST. Last day to buy tickets will be at July Members Meeting - numbers strictly limited to seating capacity of bus.
Members Lunch - Monday 27 September
The Annual Lunch will be held immediately after the September Member's Meeting in the ANZAC Room for members and partners / carers. Tickets will be $10 each with $2 drinks (capped).
Functions by other organisations
On Sunday the 22 August 2010 a service and "tree" plaque will be dedicated for Private Benjamin Ranaudo KIA in Afghanistan while serving with 1 RAR. The service will be held at the RAR National Memorial Walk (NMW), Enoggera commencing at 10:00am. The service will be followed with morning tea.
There will be representatives of 1 RAR in attendance which will included the CO and RSM along with the Family and members of the 1 RAR Assoc. will attend.
All those who wish to attend and offer their respect are welcome. Photo ID is required for security at the gate, allow a little extra time to check in with security. Members are requested to gather at NMW Contemplation Building, Lavarack Parade at 9:30am.
As previously advised, the RAR Legacy Picnic and Army Band Concert will be held on that day following on from the service. Why not bring a chair and a hat and join the Legacy picnic BBQ and concert for only $5.00pp. The picnic commences at 11:30am and Army Band concert at 1:00pm.
